The Meridian Trio was formed in 2001 and has played in many venues within the United Kingdom and abroad, including Fairfield Hall in Croydon and the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. The recipient of numerous prizes and accolades, it is well known for its eclectic repertoire which includes commissions from leading composers around the world. Recently, the Meridian Trio has been working closely with the British composer Justin Bissell, and a set of recordings are planned for the near future. The group is dedicated to exploring and commissioning new music for violin, clarinet and piano.
